I attended Amsterdam Dance Event in both 2023 and 2024. In 2023, the Dolby set-up was based at Q-Factory and was in collaboration with Mercedes Benz. We had an Atmos studio running sessions with mixers and artists at the festival, this was to teach them how to get started in Atmos and also to get them a rough mix completed. We aslo had a living room set-up for general consumers to visit, and a larger playback room where we hosted multiple artists such as Sefa. There was also a device bar and live DJ area, and a Mercedes E-Class with Atmos running demos. This has a large foot-fall and was great for educating a large variety of people about Atmos. We also had a mixer party at Stmpd Studios, with ludovic. This was a live atmos show, and we invited important music industry and DSP's along.
I also attended ADE in 2024, this time we had a much larger set-up in a venue called tobacco theatre. We had a huge playback space which was capable of a live atmos show, and also had an array of screens. There was also a studio set-up, a living room set up, and a large device bar/networking area. In the main playback space, we had artists such a New Order take part in Q&A's and playbacks. But most importantly, we hosted Ludovic again for another live show, but this time the object data created artwork on the screens in real-time. This set-up was wildly succesful and had a massive foot fall and huge levels of social media engagement. I went out to help with the technical set-up and also to run studio sessions with mixers and artists.
